These are some of my
favorite neighborhoods
Ladd's Addition
Ladd’s Addition is one of the most historic districts of Portland, Oregon, United States. It is one of the oldest oldest planned residential developments in the western United States. The district is known in Portland for a diagonal street pattern, which is at odds with the grid of the surrounding area.
Sabin Neighborhood
Sabin is located in NE Portland, just North of Irving Park and the Irvington neighborhood. Just north of the neighborhood, you’ll find Concordia and the popular Alberta Arts District along Alberta Street. Sabin boasts a strong, vibrant community centered around their school and local businesses.
Irvington Neighborhood
Irvington is in a fantastic location for both commuting to work and getting to many other great Portland neighborhoods it neighbors the Sabin Comunity. The neighborhood is distinguished by a number of large stately homes, often positioned on multiple or oversized lots and the MAX light rail train is only blocks away from the Lloyd Center Mall.
Kenton Neighborhood
One of the best things about living in Portland is that it is steeped in history. Kenton Station is a must-visit for those who want to experience a living piece of Portland’s past. The building was erected in 1909 by the Swift Meat Packing Company. At the time, it was called the Kenton Hotel, and it was the crown jewel of the town. Kenton itself was developed as an easy way for meatpackers and cattle ranchers to buy and sell livestock.
Buckman Neighborhood
The Buckman neighborhood is in a great location. there is so much to eat and drink in Buckman that you can spend every day trying a new place and it will take you over a year to get to them all. Buckman is a foodie’s paradise, but it’s also home to a wide array of local microbreweries. The Buckman Neighborhood is perfect for foodies.
